Don't worry — in most cases this can be resolved quickly. Here are the most common reasons and what you can do:
authentication_failed Your bank requires an additional confirmation for this payment (e.g. via 3D Secure in your banking app). We didn't receive this confirmation, or it couldn't be completed successfully — this often happens when the confirmation window (usually just a few minutes) has expired.
→ What to do: Please retry the payment and have your banking app or phone ready to approve it immediately when prompted.
insufficient_funds There wasn't enough balance on your card or account at the time of payment.
→ What to do: Top up your account and try again, or use a different card or payment method.
card_declined / refused_by_issuer Your bank or card issuer has declined this payment. First, quickly check that your card is still valid and that online payments are enabled for it.
→ What to do: We recommend contacting your bank's customer service to find out more. Alternatively, you can simply use a different payment method to complete your order.
unknown_reason Our payment processor has blocked this transaction as part of an automatic security check. This can happen for various technical reasons — we're sorry for the inconvenience! → What to do: The easiest fix is to switch to a different payment method (e.g. PayPal or another card) for this order. If that doesn't work either, please reach out to us directly — we're happy to help.
