Why was my subscription confirmation not recognized at a ticket inspection?

Your subscription receipt serves exclusively as proof of payment for your Deutschland-Ticket. The subscription receipt is not a valid ticket and cannot be used during a ticket inspection.

The nationwide fare regulations for the Deutschland-Ticket stipulate that from 01.05.2024, paper tickets will no longer be recognized as a valid ticket.

You can also prove your valid TicketPlus+ subscription retrospectively and thus reduce the EBE penalty fee of 60.00 euros to 7.00 euros in accordance with the company's transport regulations. To do this, contact the transport company with which you were traveling at the time of the inspection.
